I can't quite remember if the cat was pink, yellow, or orange but he had a smooth accent. He is kind of like top cat but, he use to say 'you know what I am saying?' He would drag out every word and slur it...he had a city accent kind of like Yogi bear but not as bad. Any suggestions to jog my memory would be great :)

I'm guessing you're thinking of Snagglepuss. He was pink with a like collar/bo-tie combo...

From your description it sounds a little like Snagglepuss. His voice was sort of a cross between Yogi Bear and the Cowardly Lion from the wizard of Oz. He was pink. But I don't remember that being his catch phrase. Usually is was either "Exit Stage Left" or "Exit Stage Right".

Okay it wasn't Top Cat because you mentioned him.

It might have been Mr. Jinx. Mr. Jinx was on the Huckleberry Hound show, he spent all his time chasing two cute little mice named Pixie and Dixie. He was voiced by Daws Butler who did many many cartoon voices in those days. His voice was sort of southern. Butler used the same voice for beatniks and jazz musicians. Butler said he got the idea for the voice from Marlon Brando, but it doesn't really sound like him.

Mr Jinx and Pixie & Dixie were loosely based on Tom & Jerry, but not nearly as violent, nor as well animated. The jokes were good, though. (Well, it entertained -me- but I was just a little kid at the time! 8^) )

It does sound like Snagglepuss, and if you want more information on him, go to Don Markstein's Toonopedia. It has loads of info on toons.
