Congratulations on the new baby on the way! My opinion for the name you have chosen Layla Emma is that I agree with you it does not flow well. Both names are beautiful however I see Layla as more of a middle name than as a first name.

I think after Layla you have several options for good flow: one is a single syllable name, i.e. Layla Shane; one is a name with more than three syllables, i.e. Layla Katerina; and one is a name with the accent on the opposite syllable than Layla, i.e. Layla Danielle (LAY-la dan-YELL). No matter what, in order for the name to flow well, you should have the middle name start with a consonant.
Both Layla and Emma are really pretty names. Good luck, and remember, it really doesn't matter what we all say and think (even though we all love to put in our two cents). What matters is what you want to do!

I think Layla is a beautiful name. I don't think Layla Emma flows well but I also don't think it sounds horrible. Maybe save Emma for your next. If you don't plan on having another, then I would just use. People rarely use their full names and since it's not horrible sounding I say go for it!

I think Layla and Emma are both very nice names, but ...no, I don't think they go well together. When I consider name combos, I visualize the "shape" of the words. Emma and Layla are both two-syllable words that end in an "ah" sound. Too much repetition!
They're beautiful names, but kind of redundant when used together.
If your heart is set on using them both, I'd start planning now for another baby!

At first I said no way. Sounds awful together, but after saying it over and over again its starting to grow on me. I was thinking maybe Emma Layla, but that sounds kinda like Himalaya(or however that's spelled). Layla Emma, definetly.
Congrats on your girl!!!!!!
Does your last name start or end with an A? Try saying loud and fast as if she is in big trouble. Can you say it all without getting tonge tied. Tripping up when lecturing your kid puts you at a disadvantage. Still love the name.

It sounds a little off having both names end with "a".
How about Layla Emily, or save Emma in case you have another girl at a later date.

Layla Emma doesn't really flow. You shouldn't have two names end with A. It's too much. I would try to find different combinations.

This was hard for me to decided, but I kept saying it out loud and every time it made me want to look for two people entering the room. Layla is so pretty and I love Emma to. But together they seem to be like pink and purple paint on the living room wall. It may seem like a good idea in the beginning but in time you may decided that you want to change it.

It doesn't flow nicely. The are both nice names just not together. Layla Elle is close to that but sounds much nicer.
