If he is not the one, then it is better to get out of the relationship now than later. However, one might well ask, why do you think this now, because at one time you did think he was the one. What has changed? Him or you? Or have you been lying to yourself all along? Either way, get out before a child is born, as you say, into this mess.

Having a child NEVER makes a poor relationship better. Talk to him and get your issues sorted out long before you think of having a child. If things don't get better then you need to get out and move on with your life..

If you two are having issues about him not being your partner for life, it is much better to move on right now. It is certain that adding a child to the mix will only make matter worse and more complicated than they are now.
If he is not the one, don't waste your time on him...leave and get happy again
