their telling you it needs a new radiator in it ,without it, it wont be right ,that's not to expensive though, but i wouldn't drive it with a bad radiator in it this will cause it to overheat, and do serious damage to the engine, good luck on it.

there are a lot things to consider.
What kind of insurance do have?
it is sometimes better to pay for the repair than paying the deductible as your premium may go up.
The fins are those small chambers in the radiator where the coolant runs through to cool off. If few of them get busted they can be fixed, but it's better to replace the radiator.

Don't worry, these kind of collision repairs are done thousands of times daily and the cars are good as new if done properly. It is most likely your A/C condensor that has some distorted fins vs your radiator. These are easily combed straight and will have no effect on the AC system.

Have the place that is doing the repairs SHOW YOU EVERYTHING THAT THEY NEED TO REPLACE!!!!!!! Have them put the car on a rack ( lifts the car up in the air) so you can see the underneath if necessary.
I have a tendency to take alot of pictures to document the damage.
DON'T LET THE MEN PUSH YOU AROUND. SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO BE A MEGA BIT_H TO GET THE MEN TO COOPERATE!!!!!! IT IS YOUR VEHICLE - THE WAY I SEE IT THE MORE THAT YOU KNOW ABOUT YOUR VEHICLE, THE BETTER OFF YOU ARE.
Good luck with the repairs. Also if you have any kind of a problem , don't hesitate to take it back to the repair shop to have them take a look at it and get it fixed!!!!!!!!

If the fins on the rad==are brushed than they can straiten then any other damage no repairs replace it???Lift the hood an look as for the rad==You have to go threw the a/c cooler before you get to the rad==so look close or ask them to explain an show you if it looks like it's been repaired decline it.

be sure the shop that fixes it is a reputable one. easily found out by asking your insurance agent for a list of shops they regularly use. have them fix whatever is actually damaged and don't be surprised to find more things bent when they tear it down. get a written guarantee and you should be fine and also have them call you before they fix anything other than what was estimated so you have a chance to see its actually damaged. again the key is a reputable shop. they can't afford to wreck their reputation by doing shoddy or unecessary work. good luck.

They would only be responsible for what they worked on. I would also suggest just replacing the radiator. If the fins on the radiator core are messed up, then air can't flow through that area. No airflow equals overheating vehicle.
