i just learned that poetry.com is a scam...after i told everyone, but before i sent any money in...and i dont want this to happen again, but id really love to have my writting published, so is there any REAL sites, that arent SCAMS that i cna try???

If you are SERIOUS about your writing -- wanting to write poetry for the long haul and not just a fly by night kinda thing, the best place to find out about contests, magazines looking for submissions and the like is the magazine Poets & Writers. Their website is www.pw.org. It's out of NY but deals with the whole country and subscriptions are something under $20 (I don't want to give you the exact amount because I don't remember completely and don't want to steer you wrong). They are a great organization as well -- real advocates for literary writers -- and worthy of support.
