You've heard that space is a vaccum (A state of being sealed off from external or environmental influences; isolation) and that it is expanding, so what is it expanding in to? What is on the other side?

First, a vacuum has nothing to do with being sealed. It has to do with air pressure. In space.... you know... waaaaaaay out there... the air pressure is zero. Hence, it's called a vacuum.

Second, whence the space into which the universe is expanding depends on whom you ask. Some believe that the stuff in the universe, galaxies, etc, is expanding, but that the universe, the space into which the stuff is expanding, is infinite. Others contend that space is curved and that it's simply expanding until one day it'll run into itself... or not... depending the shape of kind of curvature of space. But it's all conjecture.

Third, as to what is on "the other side" is also speculative. If space is curved, there may not be another side. If space is infinite and the universe is just expanding into it, on the other side of where stuff has expanded is more space into which to expand. If space is indeed infinite, it precludes "another side."

Universe is boundless. It will continue to expand until it the stars stop burning. At the center of every spiral galaxy is a churning piece of matter. Once the matter is entirely swallowed leaving shineless objects pitted throughout the cosmos, it will release its payload according to conservation. What does that mean? All forms of matter must return to the Quantum where they are rebirthed. IOW, reality is the only observable level of the Quantum. Below is simply an energy reservoir.

Space is not a vacuum. Space is the natural state of things. We live in the abnormal state. A vacuum is a state that resembles space but it is a vacuum because we must create the state, that is, the state of neutral or zero pressure.
The material that is the Universe is expanding into empty space.

This is a good question.
Empty space is what it is thought to expand in to.
Other side could be a parallel or multi-verse.
