i know you can slow down your metablism but how can you speed it up?

eat breakfst in the morning a snack a lunch a snack and dinner so that the matablism doesn't think your in starvation mode.

You can speed up your metabolism by reducing your carbohydrate intake (breads, pastas-anything with white processed flour, chips, sugar-even fruits and fruit juices) increase your lean protein intake, eat five to six meals a day. Breakfast, small snack, lunch, small snack, good dinner, small snack. Eat vegetables with meats, and snack on raw vegetables. Eat a limited amount of complex carbohydrates and exercise more. Get your heart rate up for 20 minutes at least 4 times a week. When you go too long between meals, metabolism slows way down. Eating the right foods often, throughout the day will speed up your metabolism considerably. You will find you are hungry more often as well, because your body is burning the "fuel" for energy and limiting the simple carbohydrates causes your body to burn fat. Put simply, the South Beach diet. My daughter lost 50 pounds in 4 months on this plan. Very healthy and very safe. As always, though, check with your doctor first.

Exercising. Eating breakfast helps alot. Eating 5-6 meals a day. Also an apple before each meal helps speed up metabolism

Yes, you can speed up our metabolism by eating a small meal/snack every 3 or so hours. If your body goes too long without food, it will go into starvation mode; thus slowing down your metabolic rate! D- :"

Scientific fact - eating more raises metabolism and eating less lowers your metabolism as your body enters 'starvation mode' for survival.

Please read the book titled "Curves" written by Gary Heavin founder of the Curves gym. He explains how it works and how to use that information to lose weight. I got it from the library.
Somersizing is a similar way of eating.

Eat SMALL healthy meals/snacks every 2-3 hours. Incorporate with that a lot of cardio exercises. You're gonna feel hungry a lot, but if you choose what you eat wisely..you'll be in great shape health wise.

Well one way to speed it up is by raising your testrone level. I bought some trimax stuff at the link below. You could also by zinc. I wouldn't recomend this for a women. YOu can still try it tho. Make sure you by the right one for you. You can also go to you local health store and ask them. Also ask the link below for something good for a women.

I drink green tea.

There is an ongoing debate as to whether green tea increases metabolism, but from personal experience, I've noticed an increased rate of weight loss since I started drinking it 6 weeks ago.

eat regularly. skipping meals slows down your metabolism. exercise also speeds up your metabolism. people say green tea speeds it up too.
