I have a hard time with it - and personally hate when people tell me to count or breathe and all that. I have been there and it doesn't work. Honestly I think the best thing is counseling combined with drug therapy. The counseling gives you a way to talk out the issues and work on the needed coping skills and while you work on it drugs like ativan and paxil - among others (talk with a dr to find out what is best for you) can help to temporarily calm your feelings.

I don't feel drugs are the solution mind you just a part of the step.

I have also found marijuana in small doses helpful - but then again this can also differ from person to person.

Dealing with the anxiety and the anger are a matter of regaining coping skills and control over yourself and your emotions. It is no easy task, but using the above combination, I have seen real progress.

If you think you can do it without the drugs, more power to you - but I haven't been able to!

Anxiety and anger are separate issues. You can control anxiety with medication - anger is about power and control.

I ask myself that every day. I have decided to Alvie the host of the problem. That is in regard to not allowing myself to be the victim. You might try counseling, writing down your days events, write yourself a check list of your trigger points, addressing how you handle your anger, such as: walking, reading, watching TV, exercising, etc. I understand that a person does not want to get to the point where managing their anger becomes a full-time job, in reality it should never get there. Maybe changing your diet a bit, surrounding yourself with powerful antidotes that will not trigger your shortcomings. Good Luck

My answer is to seek out a doctor and be totally honest with him in what you need help with. There might be free programs available to you through different agencies in your area in helping you with both of those issues not necessarily in the same place. If you are in school you could ask to speak with a counselor that also might be able to direct you in where you might be able to find the help. You are not the only one with these problems and there is help out there. Take care.

try to understand the reasons for your anxiety and learn to reenforce your mental patterning with positive disciplines
opposed to anger with alternatives . I also try to gain objective cognizance to know when to snip it in the bud through meditation or refocusing my mind . good luck
