They're called 'Buggies' not Shopping carts.

That every soda is a "Coke" regardless of what brand it is.

And You're supposed to have a little tea with your sugar and a little fish with your grits!

Whats wrong with the westerners?
Correction........They are called shopping carts. A buggy is pulled by a horse or mule.
It is a soda. If I wanted a coke specifically then I would ask for a Coke. Otherwise, I want a friggin soda!
Tea with sugar rots your teeth...look at yours.
Grits? Grains of sand with fish? OMG!

I guess the whole nation will realize it when some of the people realize this is America first and foremost. Then maybe just maybe they will see that a person can call things anything they wish and eat it how ever they please, as long as everyone understands what the heck they are talking about, as you must in order to make the comparisons. So if someone orders a Coke, they will receive what ever is on hand? not a coca-cola? I know if I order a coke I sure don't want a 7-up.

I agree with you on one thing, and that is that a little tea IS good with your sugar. Sweet tea is the best.

Other than that...um. I live in the North...but I was raised in the South. We never called them buggies. Every soda wasn't a Coke either...unless of course it was a Coke.

Atta girl! I knew I loved you but I just couldn't out my finger on it! It is buggies, darn it. Coke is synonymous with carbonated beverage which was hard for my husband, bless his heart, he's from California. And you know they don't eat a lot of grits with their fish out there. Poor souls. And what, may I ask, is the point of serving unsweetened tea in a restaurant anyway?

I'm a Texas girl and I say, shopping cart, DP, Sprite, A&W...

I drink my iced tea with Sweet n Low, and I hate grits, but I love fish.

Fish and grits?...hum....you paint a broad stroke with your brush. Yes, I do ask if anyone wants a coke and then what flavor when they say yes...and its a basket, not a buggie...and a billfold, not a wallet. And, women carry purses, not handbags.

ahhh, I hate that! I'm from Maine and when I moved the WV everyone was calling the carts, buggies and wallets were billfolds! It was like a parallel universe!

Face it it's a cultural thing!! Why we are at it, why don't we get onto the British for calling trucks lorries and erasers rubbers.

I am Southern born and raised.
