ok i've heard that diarrhea and nausea are signs that labor is near. i'm really sorry if this grosses anyone out but i wanna see if anyone else has had this lovely pregnancy side effect before i bother the dr. since it's not really an emergancy. anyway... i've had diarrhea for 3 days now, 3-4 times a day. it's not too extreme, i don't think i'm sick with anything, i don't have other symptoms, it's not painful, i feel okay. my poop is just, well... not solid haha. anyone else experiencing this in the third trimester?

Hi! I am 33 weeks and have had the same symptoms. I did call in because I am high risk (Type 1 Diabetes since age 14). They told me as long as I am keeping hydrated and have no contractions that I basically have to suck it up and deal with it. :)! I had also heard that diarrhea was a sign that i might be going into labor soon but I have had it for a week now and haven't felt any contractions. So I guess that it is a possibility for us, but I am hoping that I won't go into labor quite yet. Don't get me wrong, I really want this baby to get here but I don't want to have to visit him/her in the hospital for a few days/weeks before I get to bring the baby home!! Best of luck to you!

Yes, that's a pretty normal symptom in the late stages of your pregnancy. You're body is getting ready for inevidable.
Make sure you're drinking lots of water, lots and lots of water ... you want to make sure you're peeing as much if not more than the other stuff ;)
It's not a sign that you'll be going into labour right away, but it's not that far off. Try to relax and have a good book on hand.

Yes, I am 38 weeks and I have had this on and off for the last 6-8 weeks. Except mine isn't 3 times a day, its more like 8. I get belly pains and have to go instantly, its terrible. Then the next day I can be constipated. I dont get it.

The Dr told me its most probably due to the baby's weight on my bowels.

I had loose stools during my last month of pregnancy, so it didn't happen "right" before labor started, but maybe like a month before.
