hmm im from georgia and i got to tell you it is HOT ALL YEAR LONG! ill make a chart for ya

june-september: expect average highs of about 96-102 and lows at about 77-83 roughly

september-november: expect average highs of about 88-95 and expect lows at about 72-78

december-february: expect average highs of about 66-75 maybe even 80.<<<< 80 degree winters may seem unusual in the winter but it happens very often down here! and expect lows at about 40-50

march -may expect highs at about 90-97 and lows at about 74-78

it snows down here probably once every 15-20 years. and expect plenty of rain wind and lightning down here during hurricane season.

luckily georgia doesnt get hit nearly as hard as florida, mississippi, or louisiana during hurricane season.

I now live in Charlotte, but I was born and raised in Athens, GA, which is no more than 70 miles from Lawrenceville...

...The weather in the area is generally nice. Late July-early September are generally the hottest and most humid. The humidity takes a little getting used to. Very common for summer highs to reach mid 90's.

The winters are much milder than in NY. Usually, there may be a couple days where 2-3" of snow will fall. And snow is considered a big deal. If more than 3" falls, it paralyzes the town. It can get pretty cold, as low as mid-teens, but the average high/low is about 35/55 during the winter.

Springs and autumns are very nice and comfortable.

The heat wave continues in Georgia, with no early end in sight. Friday, August 10th, the thermometer rose again to 103 degrees at 5:29 PM, breaking the previous record for the day of 97 degrees, set in 194. Here in Lawrenceville, the temperature broke 100, although it wasn't quite as hot as yesterday (like someone would notice).

The three day string of 100 plus degree temperatures is the first time since July 27-29, 1993 that Atlanta has been over 100 for so long. The 103 degree temperature recorded Thursday and Friday is the warmest it's been since 1980, when the temperature in Atlanta hit an all-time record high of 105 degrees on July 17th, 1980—my third week in Georgia.
The highest temperature recorded in Georgia is 112°, Fahrenheit. This record high was recorded on July 24, 1953 at Louisville.
Lowest Temperature The lowest temperature in Georgia, -17°, was recorded on January 27, 1940 at CCC Camp.
Average Temperature Monthly average temperatures range from a high of 92.2 degrees to a low of 32.6 degrees.
Climate A humid subtropical climate with mild winters and hot moist summers is characteristic of most of Georgia. The average annual precipitation varies from about 40" in central Georgia to more than 75" in northeast Georgia. One of two annual precipitation maxima occurs in February or March, when between 4" and 6" of rain may be expected because of the high seasonal incidence of cyclonic activity over the southeastern United States. The second maximum occurs in June and July, when precipitation from thunderstorm activity may bring 4" to 7" monthly.
Average yearly precipitation for Georgia, from 1961 to 1990, is shown on this chart from Oregon State University.

The number of summer days when the temperature exceeds 90 degrees F are numerous, but in the mountain areas and the hilly Piedmont cool evenings bring welcome relief. Winters are mild, but significant variation occurs from south to north in Georgia. Snow cover lasting more than one or two days or exceeding 2" occurs only in the mountainous fringe of north Georgia. The great day-to-day variability in winter weather is caused by the interaction of polar and subtropical air masses. Atlanta's extreme low temperatures are rarely below 14 degrees F.
