Ritter's fell ill on the set of his new show Thursday. Ritter was hospitalized at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, where he underwent surgery for a tear in his aorta (More On Aortic Tears). He died of the rare medical condition shortly before 10 p.m.
