Reality could be physical because reality is what is there and things that you can't change. Sometimes people get lost in what's not real which could be spiritual except realtiy is what IS there not what could be there. So, that is the reality part. The universe is a very good combination of the two. It's physical simply because we feel the temperature the sun from the universe gives off and because some people mediatate and use the physcial aspects around them to purify them spirtually.

Reality is perceptual. We perceive physical and spiritual things, and label them. They exist within our perception of them, and when we are surprised by their failure to meet our perceptions, that is when change happens. An indirect quote from Thich Nhat Hanh: "We perceive a house to be a house because we can see a house. A carpenter looks at a tree and sees a house." We can do the same spiritually. If we are looking for a Buddha or the second coming of Christ, we look for halos and enlightened looking people. What if Jesus came back as a teenager in ripped jeans and and missing teeth? Our perceptions manage our concept of everything. We need to perceive things differently.

What we perceive as the "universe" is just that....our perception. Time and space are just concepts conceived by man to explain the unexplainable, they have no scientific or physical basis. They were conceived in order to progress through the known universe with a quantitative constant for the unknown. Confused? Me too! Once you realize the scale of the universe, you should be awestruck if not speechless!

I can't believe how many people think reality is just physical. As most of us get older, we learn we are all spiritual beings. The physical is just our playground.

Actually, you get to decide! That's wthat's great about being human. It's your view of the universe, the way you want to accept it. However you need physical attributes to help you do that, like a brain, sensory organs, etc.!

I would have to side with physical. "Spiritual" is our reaction to the world around us. It is our effort to explain "why". In all recorded history human kind has attempted to put our existance in a box and since no one could explain it all we gave up and created god.
