If SOME misinformed "believers" stoped thinking that God makes everbody and therefore would not make homosexuals, would this help in the debate? (not trying to insult anyone)

right you are ken (below) Yes Ken. The Bible is filled with stories of incest in the early passages, to include Noah's daughters if I recall correctly.

ken (below) "get it out of other people's bedrooms" Is different from the institution of Marriage which, of course, is far more than just what happens in the bedroom.

JFra472449 (below) According to your not-by-any-stretch-found-anywhere-in-the-Bible theory, God (or angels) make hemorphadites, blind people, downs syndrome, sicle cells, and a host of other genetic mutations that are clearly NOT perfect.

The religious answer to your question is that those who believe homosexuality is a sin DO NOT believe that people are born with homosexuality. They believe it is a choice.
If they were made that way, it wouldn't be a sin. If it were mental illness, illness isn't a sin. "And because the Bible says its a sin, it must be a choice."
I don't feel this way now, obviously. But I understand the thinking because I was once there.

Let's go with the Adam and Eve theory. If god only created Adam and Eve wouldn't that mean there must have been a bunch of incest happening right from the beginning? What always makes me laugh is how the religious amongst us think homosexuality is more grievous than any other sin. Is having sex with someone of the same gender really the equivalent of murder? The social and christian conservatives need to keep their nose in their own business and get it out of other people's bedrooms.

God did make Adam and Eve and told them to multiply. And they did. Man and woman were made uniquely for each other. Spiritually, physically and emotionally. Only God can create the spirit which is in every human being. He did not create gay people. The word is sin. That created homosexuality, violence, murder and all the rest. There will always be disagreement on this issue just as there is with abortion. Both were always considered wrong up until recently. Even though many people's morals have shifted, God's standard remains the same. It is very clear in the Bible. From front to back. You won't see compromise there.

the prcreation argument can't apply,he makes some infertile. were they the ones meant to be gay? all i can say, most wouldn't know a gay person if they met them, without being told. it is not like the stereotypes. I loved "All in the family" but i think it may have been taken too serious by some.
Auntacid, what if your son or daughter came home with the same sex,
added. just because you don't hear of something, doesn't mean it is non existent

God created Adam and Eve and after they were removed from the garden they were told to multiply. We are all Gods children but only the first two were actually created without being born. Our souls are all born equal in Gods eyes but sometimes our bodies are not.Nature and genetics
Great thinking question. No two answers will be the same

I am unsure if God himself does it or if it is relegated to his angels but yes, every human is made. However I believe homosexuality is a choice. You don't hear about it in the Amish community, you don't hear about it in tribal areas, and if it is not true for the part, it is not true for the whole (fragmentation theory). God either personally or delegated the making of man, man chose to be gay. Genes make you the shape you are, your upbringing makes you the person you are.

Genisis 1:26-
'Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our ( Correction:The Holy Trinity: Father Son and Holy Spirit) image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."
So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He Created him; MALE AND FEMALE He created them.
1 Corinthians 11:8-12
For man is not from woman, but woman from man. Nor was man created for the woman, but woman for the man. For this reason the woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels.
Nevertheless, neither is man independent of woman, nor woman independent of man, in the Lord. For as the woman was from the man, even so the man also is through the woman; but all things are from God.
Genesis 2:24
'Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.'
So did God create people to become Sodomites, NO!!!!!! Of course not!! They allowed Satan to deceive them to sin, and thusly God had to destroy them!!
For further reference look to Genesis 19 - Sodom & Gomorrah.
EDIT:
And just as an aside note: Those who suffered the destruction of Sodom & Gomorrah also serve as an example of those who will suffer the torment of the last day!

God has a hand in everything we do.
We have free will be he helps and guides us if we ask.
God makes PERFECT humans and then let's US have a choice on how we will live our lives.
Being GAY is not how he intended us to be. Nor did he intend us to be pedophiles, rapists, thieves, child molesters, or transgendered. We may FEEL one of these tendencies but our TEST is to see if we act on them.
Sin and temptations are a part of our lives. We are SUPPOSED to resist them.
