I give up . Theres 100's of questions about this show daily . The one episode I saw , I couldn't really get into because I hate anime . I watched it for 5 minutes and got sick .
Is it violent ? funny ?

You only watched five minutes of one episode? You need to give it more time than that. The storyline moves extremely slow in the series (which is one MAJOR drawback), but if you watch enough episodes, you'll like it. Especially after seeing some of the fights in that show! The fights are awesome and intelligently done, even though most of them go at a slow pace. They once spent, like, six or seven episodes in that series just fighting one bad guy. And most of the time was taken up by each of the characters having flashbacks about their childhood. So, you should probably only watch it if you have nothing better to do.

Five minutes? You have to watch longer than that. A few episodes, maybe. You can't even have a proper plot set in mind if you've only watched five minutes of the first episode. It's both violent AND funny. Violent with a lot of fighting, and funny because Naruto's just a dork. Naruto (the anime/manga, not the character) is just special because it has a freakishly awesome plotline and amazingly amazing characters. The fights are unpredictable and there are so many twists in the storyline that people (like me) eventually become obsessed with it.

Lol i hated anime and now i like it, all because of naruto. See the first episodes if you still don't like it , oh well. It gets really good in like episode number 8.

I guess people like it because it is funny and kind of violent. The japanesse comedy is a bit different too but still hilarious

Well, I have to admit, some episodes stink but is humorous and full of action in the good parts! ^_^
For example, everyone is excited about Shippuuden... the time skip when they are 2 1/2 years older. There isn't much of the anime out yet but the manga rocks! lol
At first I didn't like it but the more I watched/read it, the more I liked it. Your right... there are a bunch of questions about it but that gives me a chance to answers questions to the best of my ability! ^_^

It's both violent and funny.
The problem here is that you hate anime.
You have to give us better reasoning that this, like why, before we can explain properly. If it's just that it happens to be animated, then I'm not sure if we can help you, no matter what we say. :]

Wait if you hate anime then why u watchingit or trying to watching it...anyways if you meant " i hate the anime "as in naruto well dont watch it....but i l like it cuz it doesent go in loops like inuyasha , it has ninjas (everyone likes ninjas) it has the all the generic anime characters, the cool guy , the anoyying self absobred girl, the annoying thinks hes the best loser, you kno...it has its moment of comedy and violence some scenes are really good and i admit it can be boring at times but if you wait it gets better....if you dont like it then **** it dont watch it no one says ou have to like it...anyways whatch what you like not what others like!

It's pretty funny (if you like anime). And there have been so many questions about it because it's currently airing on TV in the US and the manga (comic books) are being released in English.
