This is interesting, I was just talking with my husband about this today. There are a lot of things he likes to do that I don't and I like to do that he doesn't. But I think as long as one person isn't stopping the other from doing what that person enjoys, it's fine.

We do a lot together. Typically, we are around each other and still doing our own thing. Right now, he's watching a pre-season football game and I'm sitting next to him playing on yahoo answers!

School things and church we do together, sports and alumni things we do on our own. When it is something only one of us is into, then we do it alone. When we are both into it, then we do it together. We have agreed that we won't force each other into situations we are not comfortable in, and it works great.
