Hi my husband and i are having trouble deciding on a name for our unborn son, i was hoping to hear what other people think of these names:
- Lucian
- Connor
- Owen
- Doyle
- And Dominic

I like Owen and Doyle they are short, sweet, original and easy for a small child to learn to spell.

I love Owen. Dominic and Lucian are very handsome. Doyle is cute in quirky kinda way. I don't really care for Connor. It seems a little common/boring especially compared to your other choices. So Owen gets my vote. Owen Dominic or Owen Doyle would be nice! Good Luck and Congrats!

I love Connor, Owen, and Dominic. My favorite of those three is Owen. Lucian is okay, I think just Luke or Lucas are better though. Sorry, I don't like Doyle at all, but it would be okay for a middle name.

I have to say I like the name Lucian, you do not hear it much anymore and it has a nice ring to it. The name Dominic makes me think of Dominoes. Owen is kinda well I think red. Doyle the same red and or 19th century. Connor is not bad, but I have heard that name more than Lucian. Good Luck I hope everything turns out great with your new baby :)

I love Connor and Dominic. Lucian is a little demonic sounding (sorry) and when I think of Owen, I cannot help but think of Danny DeVito in Throw Mamma From a Train (sorry again...). Doyle just doesn't hit as high a mark as the other two.

Lucian--makes me think of the devil.
Connor and Owen are very cute.
Doyle--not too sure about that one. Makes me think of an old man.
Dominic is okay but don't like as much as Connor and Owen.

Lucian might be interesting, but it sounds a bit too...frilly? I don't know. Connor and Owen are nice. I don't like Doyle or Dominic. Just my opinion.

First of all remember your little boy will have to say it and spell it in preschool (even if he has a lisp or some sort of speech problem) and try to guess in advance what are the awfulest nicknames the nastiest people might attach to the name.... Lucian would be great if you are French or French Canadian but in the USA it may be LUCY (and what if he has a lisp?)
Conner is so over used right now as much as I personally like it.... ditch it too (in my opinion)
I LOVE the name OWEN and can't think of a reason against it....
I like Doyle but it sounds sort of nerdy... something not tp be appreciated at young ages like elementary grades..... it might back fire...
And Dominic would be fine if you never mind him getting called Demonic by some smart @ss big kid in school.....
(I hope you don't think I was being offensive, I was only trying to anticipate what mean people might say....)
there are those people who might say never mind those close minded mean people, but when you send off Jr. to his first day of school maybe you should consider that its him who has to wear the tag you give him....
I personally think you ought to give him a name you can attach multiple good nick names with so he can decide when he is older if he wants to be called and in this case Dominic would be the best, he might be Dom, Nic, Nico, or Nicky and as a little baby you can even call him "Mini" this name could leave him with abundant choices as a teenager and adult he can make for himself and he might appreciate it later in life.
You will love him no matter what you name him but he has to live with it on a daily basis, I have a name I never liked and always tried to name my kids sort of ordinary names, things you can find on a personalized keychain or mug and that others can pronounce with little effort.
Most importantly love your baby and enjoy your pregnancy, don't stress so much over it..... and DON"T ask YOUR INLAWS or PARENTS it could turn bad if you don't take their advice. And if you name him after any one it needs to be some one dead or they might get jealous! (unless you just make him a JR. because if your husband is a good man who loves him your son would be lucky to share a name with him)

I like Connor and Dominic. I don't care for the name Lucian...sounds too much like Lucifer lol. Doyle makes me think of an old man, and Owen....just doesn't do it for me. Anyway, for what its worth, there's my opinion! Congratulations on your new baby!!

I love the name Dominic. Also if you're religious, think about the names Josiah and Joshua.Owen is also nice. Pretty common, though. Lucian is very unique, I don't think I know anyone with that name. Conner is O.K.. But Doyle is a definite NO! It sounds like pimple or a dog's name.
