I have a bill for a magazine due on Monday & my father was supposed to go the post office get a money order & post it on Thursday. He forgot and said that he will get the money order & post it Friday. Well again he forgot to mail it & get the money order and by now the post office would have already closed for the day. I was wondering if he posts it on Saturday will it arrive the next business day, Monday, if there was a first class stamp on it?

1-3 days is the norm.

depends on how far it has to go and the geography

example: first class from anywhere in vermont to anywhere else in vermont is usually one day, however, first class from burlington vermont to plattsburg new york [which is only 50 miles away] is two days at least or even three.

btw, the post office does move mail within the PO system on sundays even though the offices are closed. get it in on Saturday without fail and you've got another day.

not to mention that most magazines are so hard up for subscribers that their 'deadline' day is probably somewhat flexible.

in the long run, you need to become responsible for mailing in your own payments and not relying on anyone else to do it. Or else use your bank's bill paying service and pay them to do it.

It's not a big deal on being a little late..... you have a 10 day grace period. It takes 2 to 3 days for a 1st class stamped letter to get to it's receiving post office then to the company in the U.S.

Depends on the location. If it's the next state over, it may arrive. However, that doesn't mean that the company will immediately open and post to your account. Besides, they make more money by waiting. If you're really worried and trying to avoid a late charge, use your debit or credit card and pay online; and when the other amount is received, it will be used to reduce the principle, unless you tell them to use it to pay in another manner.

If it is out of state it is unlikely it will arrive on time. Most magazines don't carry late charges however.

When timely bill payment is important, mail early. Mail time plus interoffice delivery may delay posting until well after the due date. If you are disciplined enough, try on-line banking, it will be delivered the day scheduled.

An xbox weighs to a lot to be sent via first-type submit, it is likewise to special in length. Who in the international sent you an xbox elite via first-type time-honored parcel? sounds like a rip-off to me using fact that's no longer insured to the fee of the xbox and there is not any monitoring on that parcel if it replaced into sent via rm time-honored parcel. ( It weighs to a lot for recorded transport so ought to have been sent by a courier provider with monitoring). you are able to desire to nevertheless get it because it will be further in a van and not carried out by jogging mail. yet this quite does no longer sound precise in any respect.
