It was supposed to be that way all along but people just keep putting the clown back in office, time and time again.

That would be a good long term solution, but a short-term disaster.
The problem is that politicians make promises in good faith, trying to promise what they believe is right, only to get in office and find out that what they want ISN'T what is best for the country. It isn't flip-flopping. It's reality. They are better informed by several factors when they actually get the post, and often discover how foolish their promises are.
With you solution, we would damage ourselves, but in a while politicians would learn not to make foolish promises.

they do no longer desire jobs to be created - they are afraid that Obama could look stable. IF, and that's a huge if, they win the 2012 election, they're going to be the ins, and not care approximately turning out to be jobs. the only concern they're going to be turning out to be is extra possibilities for salary for their acquaintances on Wall highway and the boardrooms. Time after time, the Repubs have favoured the wealthy - whilst throwing the middle-classification below the bus. The Herman Cain tax "plan" is a primary occasion of that, and the GOP is going for it in a reasonably great way.

LOL, it is that way already, but people have such a short attention span, and are easily distracted by other issues. that's why ALL politicians promise everything to everyone (almost) to get into office. then come the excuses, the finger pointing, avoiding answering direct questions, etc.

That's why we have elections. Unfortunately, memories are short. "Read my lips, no new taxes," was one of the few that US voters did remember.
Maybe the media should give us a report card just before elections on how well incumbents have kept their promises.

that would be an excellent consequence of lying to get elected. we have that power now but fail to exercise it..most incumbents win unless they have had some sex scandle and even that doesn't seem to matter much anymore.
