I turn 50 years old during the peak (Aug 12), I always spend that night in a lawn chair all night toasting my birthday with the meteors. Last year was kind of a dud because we had clouds on my birthday, but this year I'm particularly looking forward to it because it's supposed to be spectacular, clear, no moon and a BIG b-day occasion for me. If you see a good one, say "Happy birthday b_friskey!!!" Gee, it's better than candles on a cake!!

East Coast peak should be around 3am Monday morning. I'm excited, even though I have work at 8am.

No. For one thing, it is usually cloudy. For another, I will not stay up till early morning; too worn out as it is.
