Now we finally have an understanding on the intricate workings of the Brownie organization. It all makes sense.
Loser Crygirl fan, the Steelers do remember SB XXX, they also remember that the've been to a Super Bowl (and won) in this century! Live in the now.

Odd idea yes, but since it is a preseason game, I wonder about labeling it idiotic. Seems very easy for us armchair QBs to critique every move these teams, players and coaches make, but even with the "bad" ones there is probably a reason they have that job and paycheck, not us.
the only thing I find reallt Idiotic with the Browns stuff is Crennels attitude toward Quinn ( whom most figured would not start till midway thru the season as far back as draft day), who last time time I checked, did NOT get top 10 money ( nice myth though), but wanted some escalators to avoid doing an L.J. 4 years from now, IF he earned them (which is the point of escalaltor incentives, which I think should be the base formula for ALL rookie contracts. Pay a modest guaranteed amount, and then, IF the player actually performs, have the contract kick it up to reflect is actual play value).
Oh, and the way Frye is strutting around camp like he is Tom Brady is as ludicrous as Big Ben bashing Cowher and Whisenhunt.

I don't think it is a big deal at all. It is a preseason game..
If it were opening day, then I would think something was certainly amiss.
I think Crennell is smart doing it this way, that way both these guys are going to be in competition for the job throughout the preseason. Competition is what will show who is best for the job. Crennell may already have made up his mind, but if he lets both these guys think they might not be the starter, they will both play as if they are trying to earn the job. And the other guy could change his mind

Ok Calm down. Crennel learned this stuff from Belichick. The journalist missed the fact that those guys hate having to talk to reporters about their decisions. He's telling the reporter "I'm giving you nothing"- He's making him go back to his boss and say the qb will be chosen by coin flip. You guys thought Belichick was terrible too. Let Romeo work and he'll bring you a ring

Um last I checked they were hoping that Quinn would be the starter (long holdout ) ruined that! Now plan z? for the Browns. They have no proven Qb and that will likely lead to disaster regardless of who coaches them. Cleveland has good players at WR, TE and so-so Rb (health) if a Qb can be ok they can improve a lot!
As far as the coin? What does it matter? Preseason and neither is clearly a better option than the other?

The QB is supposed to be the leader of the team on the field. Crennel is a moron to have such little faith in any one player.
It's been said that if a head coach says he has two starting QBs on the team, that means he really has none. The Ravens are the only team that was able to win a SB without a solid QB, and they had arguably the most dominating Defense in the modern era.
Cleveland's D isn't even adequate, and by the way, the Browns wouldn't be in contention even if they had Elway at the helm, I was just making a point.

Hey dipshits! Its the Cleveland Browns!
Its like arguing about whether the Mongolian Army should wear green uniforms or brown! Except for a few nuts still awake up in Cleveland, NOBODY else in the entire world cares! We all cheer for REAL football teams!

Ha ha, stupid Brownies!
So crennel is going to flip a coin to decide which of his qbs suck least? well i guess that is the best way for a team that hasn't had a playoff win in over a decade.

Looks like the Couch -Holcomb debate all over again. But Quinn is waiting in the wings someday so it doesn't matter who will play in the long run.
