if the earth was hit by a giant Meteor and most of civilization was destroyed and lost but you survived.?

with a handful of others. What would you do to rebuild society and how would you go about re-engineering technologies if you had to completely start from scratch?

Well i would begin by searching through the ruble for any useful books or information that may help me begin rebuilding technology. The most important thing would be to make sure that there was food, drinkable water, and at least one female or male in the group so the human race could go on.

though i agree with meanolmaw. I would first tri to find food and water and a female of corse. But once that was all settled i would then try to find a gas genrater . to power my technology. then i would open one of those huge under ground gas tanks at the gas stations to fuel my generator. then i would try to find a car that might have survived and use that to drive around to find a computer at a clege class room and see what might have been save about human history and tecnology and just keep doing that until i found all i could and go from there.

First you would want to establish a safe place to stay -- warm, dry shelter within reasonable distance of sources of food and water. Depending on your numbers, you might want to split up with some staying to set up an agrarian community while others go searching for other survivors.

there would be no need for 'technologies'.... not for a long, long time..... and hopefully never.....

if there's only a handful of us, there's no energy to run any Technologies and no need for them... who needs a cellphone if we're all in the same cave?... ;-)
