Two Marines cleared of charges in Iraqi deaths
LOS ANGELES — All charges have been dismissed against two Marines accused in the killings of 24 Iraqi civilians in Haditha, the Marine Corps announced Thursday.
Lance Cpl. Justin L. Sharratt, 22, of Canonsburg, Pa., was charged with murdering three brothers. Capt. Randy Stone, 35, a battalion lawyer from Dunkirk, Md., was charged with failing to adequately report and investigate the Nov. 19, 2005, combat action in which women and children were among the dead.
The decision could provide ammunition for political opponents of U.S. Rep. John Murtha, D-Johnstown.
In May 2006, the congressman created a firestorm by saying Marines had killed innocent women and children “in cold blood” during the attacks. Murtha said U.S. troops overreacted and that nearly twice as many people were killed than first reported.

Murtha might as well put on Al Qaeda garb and start shooting at our Marines, he ought to be kicked out of congress and tried for aiding and abetting the enemy in other words, treason. The Marine Corps has kept his fat mouth able to utilize his right to free speech, what an idiotic jerk! At the very least since hes a retired reserve officer, the president ought to call him up as all officers can be at any time, and have him court marshaled!

Yeah, Murtha is one hateful jerk and he should be locked up.
Nuts like him make everyone look bad. I've never liked him. He uses his military background as a way to smear honorable soldiers. Like someone else said, he's just like Kerry, a traitor and a proven liar.
He was following the left-wing agenda template. Just like what they did to the Duke Lacross boys - guilty until proven innocent. A terrible double standard that needs to be eliminated asap.
Putting radical kooks like Murtha, Kerry, Reid and Pelosi in prison would be a start, but I doubt that would happen.

purely those infantrymen who have been there on Jan 20 are killing harmless civilians and babies in chilly blood. Any infantrymen who have been sent via Obama are combating the stable combat against an evil enemy. there will be an entire accounting as each and each civilian death happens. In circumstances the place the two Bush sodiers and Obama infantrymen are combating collectively, then any civilian casualties would be seen to be a million/2 in chilly blood and a million/2 righteous.

I guess we won't be hearing Murtha's appology to the Marines who were exonerated today.
He was mighty quick to condemn them and slow to ask their forgiveness for his stupidity and hair trigger mouth.

You would have to be sick in the head to try to justify falsely accusing our combat soldiers. Murtha is beyond any negative adjectives I can think of that aren't profane.
