I am fairly certain there is leprachaun in my pantry. I've been calling him Elvis. He leaves me small presents and it's getting annoying. Who does he think he is? Last night he left me Chinese Handcuffs that you put on your finger. I used to bond for hours with my sister with those. Kind of bizarre he'd leave them. I think he knows me mighty well. So bright idea, I try to catch him without harming him. I put rubber cement on a chocolate graham cracker. Today, the trap is empty.and the graham cracker is gone. I am out a graham cracker and have no leprachaun. Oh, and brief sidenote 'cause I'd rather not catch a scoldin'...I used non-toxic rubber cement. So, what in the world am I doing wrong?

I think probably the rubber cement is too smelly, non-toxic or not.

Try putting chocolate chip cookies in the bottom of a big jar with jar mouth just wide enough for the leprechaun to get in. After he eats all the cookies he will be too fat to get out and he will be yours!

Arrggghhhh...you silly fool! Everyone knows that leprechauns are too smart to be caught THAT way! Here, I'll share the tried and true method for catching leprechauns: While the sun is high and the little blighter is sleeping, coat the entire floor of your pantry with the rubber cement. Strategically place your graham cracker {plain not chocolate, most leprechauns are allergic to chocolate) in the FAR corner of the pantry floor. This makes him HAVE to step on the floor to retrieve the cracker and then BAM! He's stuck fast! If he's a gold carrying leprechaun and this works for you, you'd better share the wealth buddy!

Listen, these little fellas have been 'round for a long, long time. They've seen just about every trick you can imagine to bait and trap them.
Anyone giving you advice that doesn't end with saying "and I caught one," is giving you bad advice.
You're supposed to come up with a fool-proof scheme and then tell us about it!

good luck

You'll have to be more clever than that. Think up a trap he hasn't seen before.
