I saw your other question about Leave it to Beaver, and I thought it was interesting that you liked that show. It was good entertainment as are the I Love Lucy shows. Fun and silly and some call "old fashioned" - but at least no body abuses anyone in those shows and nobody is getting murdered! I say enjoy. And my fav person in Leave it to Beaver was the older boy. When I was young I had a crush on him. Mind you that was some 45 years ago. BTW, have you seen The Donna Reed Show? Thats' from the late 50's too and Father Knows Best. All good shows!!
AND if you like funny ladies....try The Carol Burnett Show. You might be able to find a video or DVD of her stuff. She is really funny too!

I really really like I Love Lucy! That's a great show. There just aren't show like that anymore today. How sad.

I used to love it as a kid, but as an adult and a woman, I see a lot of misogynist undertones and a lot of anger in the characters and their actions. I find it sad.
