Chinese motorcycles are a bit like your first girlfriend, great for a week or two, dull as ditchwater for a month or so, then the relationship is destined to break down and end in tears and acrimony.

Make use of the accumulated wisdom of your father and leave well alone, Cheap and cheerful soon turns into moody and expensive.

Lifan Motorcycles are made in China (at 60, Zhangjiawan, Shangqiao Shapingba, Chongqing, China, to be precise).

They are one of the better Chinese motorcycles, but still way behind Japanese or European ones when it comes to reliability, build quality or parts availability. There is only one Lifan specialist dealer in the U.K.

Unless you absolutely have to have one, you'd be far better off buying a second-hand Japanese 125 for the same money.

not a bad bike, ideal for anyone really good overall bike, the parts however are a different story, the supplier based in japan is difficult to contact. you may face a small waiting time around 2 weeks possibly, and as for being a tall rider you shouldnt have any worries.

hope this helps.
