this is baby math honey! here let me help
lets do this in order! 7x - 3x = 4x[ positive 7 minus negative 3 is positive 4 because u keep sign of higher number when u subtract] then 4x - 4x is "0"[positive 4 and negative 4 is "0" because they both are the same and negative and positive cancel each other out]
so your answer is 0...hope this helps

7x - 3x - 4x
To solve this expression, you must combine like terms. In order to do this, if terms are multiplied by the same variable, then you can subtract and add normally. Therefore:
7x - 3x - 4x = 7x - 7x = 0
So, your answer is 0.

It is 0. work left to right. 7x-3x=4x. Then 4x-4x=0. Also works the other way: -4x-3x=-7x. -7x+7x=0.

X is called the variable and the numbers are coefficients. Variables that are the same can add. Variables that are different cannot add.
All the variables are X so they add/subtact. So what makes it easy to remember is once you figure out all the variables are the same, you just pretend like it is not there. so what is 7-3-4?
Then in your answer you put the variable back: (7-3-4)x

or take it straight across
since the variables are all the same, we're talking only about x
7-3-4 = 0
0 what? 0x
âº
ignoring the variable only works if they ALL have the same variable. Wouldn't work with 7x-3y-4z or even 7-3-4x
