I am 16 and I am looking for a laptop, price is not an issue. I will probably use it mostly for surfing the web, school work, and listening to iTunes of course! Also I would want to download the Sims 2, so I need a laptop that the Sims wouldn't make it slow down or anything. And I will probably download microsoft office [word, excel, powerpoint] and photoshop. So does anyone have suggestions?

Apple gives discounts to students along with free printers and ipods. Microsoft has a $25 on the heavily discounted student/teacher edition of Microsoft Office (same as regular office, just a low price for students).

The MacBooks feature Intel Core Duo processors and the MacBook pro series have great graphics support - so your Sims will not slow down anything (just be sure to get at least 2 gig of RAM).

To get the rebates be sure to order your computer & printer at the same time on the same invoice. Call the Apple Store for Education for details 1-800-MY-APPLE

Just about any of the newer units will work. Start with the Windows Vista Home PREMIUM machine and upgrade the memory to 2G. Best Buy, Circuit City and some of the office supply stores have some good in-store sales. Cannot recommend the Lenovo products. Had had some bad reviews. If you see a nice one advertised, get to the store early because the quantity is limited. Get the extended no-fault warranty, and a good case with decent padding. I say store so you can feel the keyboard, see the screen and check the weight.
