Free fall is more like flying than falling. It's a wonderful experience and you'll love it! Get video. Not only will you like having the video to watch, but it's really cool to see someone else in free fall.

Enjoy your jump!

There is no sensation of falling at all. If you can see the plane after you exit it looks like the plane is going up really fast. The adrenaline will keep your mind racing and your stomach is the last thing you think of. Once under canopy be sure to look around and take in the view. Notice that you can look straight down several thousand feet to the ground. If doing a tandem, let the instructor know if your stomach feels sick. The instructor can give you a wild ride under canopy or a nice slow one.
If you haven't already paid for it, GET VIDEO! You will regret it forever if you don't. Most DZ's do a real good job putting the video to music and you'll bore your friends for years.
Enjoy it!
Only use USPA Drop Zones (safety standards) and
1-800-SKY-RIDE is a SCAM.

Nope. It's totally different. There's no sensation of falling, it's more like floating on a cushion of air. You can't really describe it as it's one of those things words can't do justice to, although it is pretty noisy on the way down.

Basically you're gonna love it from the nerves as the aircraft makes the jump run, to the sensation of free fall, to the breath taking views from under canopy.

Blue Skies.

Imagine a roller coaster. Imagine the tallest roller coaster you've ever been on. Then imagine yourself falling out of your seat.

Add another 13,000 feet to that feeling.

If you get motion sick do NOT let them spin you around in you chute. My boyfriend and his best friend went with me and they got sick b/c they were spun around.

When I jumped I was going 200 miles and hour for about a minute. It was the biggest rush I ever felt. My best friend and I are planning it again next year for my 21st birthday.

I am terrified of heights -- but I am still doing it again lol.

When I looked out of the plane when I was on the edge to jump -- I felt like I was going to puke. It was so awesome. Then I said O-M-G and the istructer and I jumped.
