that's fine, 3 will become 2 then 1 and eventually red which shows the car needs a service.

Amber ones out and green left? 3 series cars were great as long as you keep up with the timing belt jobs. Expect the Maintence light in a couple of weeks. All amber and green lit before start up means some one has properly reset the service indicators after a major service and oil change. You know and old BMW tech who has the service light reset tool? Want to buy mine?

The 3 series does not have a timing belt. It has a chain and it usually does not need changing. Also 3 GREEN lights means there are many more 1000s of miles to go before it needs servicing. You only need to do that when the amber light comes on.

If you see 5 green lites on, an Inspection II has recently been done. If you see only 3 green lites on, you are about half way to the next inspection. Some people estimate the value of one green light as about 1000 miles until an OIL SERVICE will be due. If you are using one of the new SYNTHETIC OILS, you can increase the value of one green light to 3000 miles or 15,000 miles between oil changes. It may depend on your car's mileage, your driving style, and to some degree, an estimate of how many miles your car gets driven in a one year period. You should probably change your oil at least once per year regardless of the miles driven.

Yes you can drive it until the first yellow light comes on. actually you can drive it until the red light come on b ut then its definitely time to schedule a service. As long as you have green light you are good.
