I love the music from the 70's, and it is a part of my soul. The music from the 80's rules supreme with me though. If for no other reason than all the memories and good times it represents. Those were some awesomely fun times. Though I never want to relive them because I am happy with my life. Certain songs can bring me back to another place and time if only for a few minutes. The best ones for me were during the 80's.
Peace.

Ding ding ding! In the blue corner, we have the heavy and mighty 'Ledyesaheeppurplesabbathelp' weighing in at 18 stone!
In the red corner we have what many people figure to be somewhat of a major contender and victor in tonights match,
'Theredhotblackcrowe puffbeastienirvannapearlhelmets', weighing in at just over 20 stone!
In the pink corner we've got the returning challenger, who has lost every match over the last 20 years, 'Duranseagullecholauper bangledbronskiculturecured', weighing in at 18 stone as well! Must be all that dead weight their carrying!
These pansies might have a chance in hell if former decader's 'Metallimaidenleppard malmsteenaccepter' were present, but inside reports say they wanted nothing to do with these wankers.
Round 1: The 70's crew kick the **** out the 80's whimps!
Round 2: The 90's crew did a fairly good job, but to their dismay, the 70's gang had "been there, done that" and seen all their moves before!
The 70's crew win after two rounds...are you surprised??
Ahhh, time for another beer sportsfans!

There are no reasons I can give you why the music from one decade is better than that of another decade. I listen to music from the very early 60s to beyond the 90s - it's all music, it's all good. I will comment and say some of the best garage and psychedelic music came the 60s, some of the best Punk came from the 70s, and some of the best Prog Rock came from the 70s.

80s, because I've lived through the rest and there was NOTHING like the fun times/parties/concerts and festivities, etc. of the 80s. The best music ever...it still is here today, alive and well and re-done by many of "today's musicians".
And wow...it was actually SAFE to be out at night too.
And hey, late 70s were great too...good music can be picked from all the decades but music is a sign of the times and there were MUCH better times in decades gone by.

It's a cross between the 70's and the 80's! The 70's had the better rock. The 80's had the better pop.

As for the various years you mentioned, i can't say that I desire one over the different till the ninety's. as an occasion, i'm going to checklist a pair of songs from each and every decade that i detect marvelous. 70's glide Away by way of Dobie gray only My mind's eye by way of the enticements. 80's Open arms by way of journey i desire to understand What Love Is by way of Foreigner ninety's end Of the line by way of Boys to adult men Linger by way of the Cranberries
