Can the hardware in a PS2 be used in a computer and if it can be would it be hard to do

It's not quite the same architecture.

It might be possible to use some of the components, but as far as I know, you can't use it as a windows/mac computer.

Search google for "Ps2 computer mods" to find out.

You could probably use the hard drive. There are drivers available to use the EyeToy camera on a computer.There are adaptors available to use the controllers on a computer.

Other than that, no. Although you could gut a PS2 and possibly fit it into a custom case.

Well sorta ya can d-load os2 games but need to get special chip and sometimes special discs brand/cuntry/are vary and is way chepar...is it legal looks like it but im gonna look that up before i do that cause quit frankly im to young (13) to die...

no, but you can use ps2 to run an OS. they have ps2 linux builds that you can use to run OS.
