I know thumbs down don't affect me and I don't much care about them, and I also know sometimes when I post an answer I am going to get loads of thumbs down, but sometimes I just really don't understand. Do you?

Yeah, I don't normally let them bother me, but sometimes I really don't see why it was given - I once got a thumbs down for answering "I'm 25" to a question asking how old people were!! And I was the only one, so I guess someone decided to hate me that day.

I don't usually know whether I got a "T" up or down. If I go back to a Q I answered, sometimes I see a "T" down. If I scroll, I usually see EVERYone has a "T" down, which means: TROLL! (Who cares.) Otherwise, I take the "Thumbs" to merely mean "agree/disagree". I used to be sort of puzzled; before I knew about trolls....and then too; I noticed when I'm reading answers I have a tendency to start to "T" down if I disagree! (I don't DO that!) so, I decided that's all it means.

I think sometimes they do it just to add a negative effect, thus promoting their answer. Believe it or not, psychologically can affect many people. Sometimes the number of thumbs down descent from top to bottom, making it quite obvious.

sometimes i think people just get jealous,or take a dislike to you, i am getting 2 thumbs down on every question i answer about big brother, and i think i know the culprits, dr bad and bex the 2 peas in a pod, (after all,they answer every question that i do,and dr bads questions and answers are private) plus he;s barred me from answering any of his questions,when i havent said anything bad.oh well,who gives a f*ck,they can keep thumbs downing me, hey after all i got best answer a few times over them ha ha.

Whenever I read other peoples answers, and their totally different from my answer, I just know I am going to get a thumbs down. =/ Even though I'm not being mean about it, I'm just telling the truth.

Sometimes I deserve it. Like yesterday, I gave the most atrocious answer (just plain dumb) and I didn't get one thumb down!
Sometimes, I feel bad when I get slated for no reason. I sulk, I huff, I feel like kicking someone. Be a "good sport" - NO!

I don't understand either.
However I don't check much. Sometimes I don't want to know. Usually I don't get any thumbs down or thumbs up.
