It was called "Scooby-Doo's All-Star Laff-A-Lympics"
It ran on ABC in 1977 and was made by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera.
The teams consisted of:
The Scooby-Doobies (the blue team)
The Yogi Yahooies (the red team)
The Really Rottens (the green team)
Each week the teams would compete to win different sporting events, The Really Rottens always cheated and rarely, if ever, won.
*edit: Kris L. is talking about The Ruff and REDDY Show...Hanna-Barbera's first television series made in 1957.
Bill and Joe produced the popular Tom & Jerry series at MGM. After MGM closed their animation department, Hanna-Barbera branched out into television...starting with Ruff & Reddy, Huckleberry Hound, Quick Draw McGraw, Yogi Bear, The Flintstones, Top Cat, The Jetsons, Scooby-Doo and many, many more.

RE:
Does any one remember the "Hana Barbara Animal Olympics"?
I used to think that cartoon was so cool! I haven't seen it in forever! I was just wondering if anyone else enjoyed watching it as a kid.

Okay, you misspelled the name of the company ... it's 'Hanna Barbera' which was the last name of each of the two cartoonists that did all of those great cartoons. I remember the Animal Olympics ... but do YOU remember Ruff and Ready? I doubt it ... it was on many many YEARS before the Animal Olympics ... but I DO. I watched the Animal Olympics with my first husband.

I agree, it was a cool cartoon. I loved that dog's laugh. Cartoons were cool back in the day, because the anticipation of waiting all week for Saturday morning cartoons made it that much more enjoyable. I tried to get my nephew to bed early one Friday night by telling him "If you go to bed now, you can get up early and watch Saturday morning cartoons". He just laughed and said, "cartoons have their own channel, and are on 24-hours a day".
