its too far away - takes us about 2 hours to get there. thats my only complaint. I wish they had a few high street stores.
ooh one more thing - am not a huge fan of self -assembly furniture, and IKEA furniture seems to be more difficult to assemble than any other!! Luckily hubby is v.good at that sort of thing
oh yes and the queues are always too long..
other than that ... i LOVE it!!

My nearest IKEA is about 70 miles away so when I go there I make a whole day out of it and I love it. I do the furniture section first. Then I have lunch which is always the meatballs and then I do the market square. I always end up buying loads of stuff and end up spending so little. They were going to build an IKEA in my city but the council ousted the plans. In a way I'm glad really as I'm sure if it was right on my doorstep I would be bored with after a while.

I love their style and love that they think of children (british places don't). They have those kids houses all over the shop so they don't get bored, and they sell ice-cream. My daughter loves going there. I also like their restaurant.
My only problem is that my nearest store is in Wales. Bit of a nightmare going there because no-body smiles. I'm sure an english one would be better.
Funny though, both my father and my ex hated it so much they both said they'll never go back. Why do men hate Ikea?

Ikea is good if you are on a low budget and you have the time to put everything together - they do have some really nice items in store - so I would say my opinion is 50/50 - depending on what you purchase !

I'm with your wife - I LOVE Ikea.
Let her go on her own next time - poor thing doesn't need a whinging hubby spoiling her fun! :-)
(Just joking before you start shouting at me).
