Sad. My mom let me drive her car, and I took it out too long so she yelled at me.

Almost exactly ten years ago, me and a bunch of friends drove to a Dennys at 3am on a lonely back road coming back from a party. All of us drunk (thankfully, except for the driver) found a car wedged into a large tree, with the right side of the car completely gone. The driver still in his seat, bloodied, had the roof smashed into his head. I walked up to him and asked him if he was okay. He didnt respond. He was dead. I walked around to the other side and found antoher person laying face down there on the ground missing a leg. He too was dead. These images will NEVER scape me. Esctatic? I am esctatic after all these years witnessing numerous highway deaths like this, that I am still alive.

I just got mine too, I'm 19.... I feel fine driving when someone is with me... but now I am trying to practice driving with no one in the car, its a little lonely and weird all alone... I am excited to have my license, i feel like i have worked hard for them and I am glad that I'll never have to take the drivers test again..

I was very ecstatic just the way you are. I had a car at the time, but not a very reliable one. The fact that my car was a hunk of junk did not stop me from piling all my friends in for a ride.
This is a great time of life, enjoy every minute of it.

Well let me tell you a story:The first Lawn mower was invented by English engineer Edwin Beard Budding in 1827. Budding's mower was designed primarily to cut the lawn on sports grounds and expansive gardens as a superior alternative to the scythe. His patent of 25 October 1830 described "a new combination and application of machinery for the purpose of cropping or shearing the vegetable surfaces of lawns, grass-plats and pleasure grounds." The patent went on to state, "country gentlemen may find in using my machine themselves an amusing, useful and healthy exercise." It took ten more years and further innovations to create a machine that could be worked by donkey or horse power, and sixty years before a steam-powered lawnmower was built. In an agreement between John Ferrabee and Edwin Budding dated May 18, 1830, Ferrabee paid the costs of development, obtained letters of patent and acquired rights to manufacture, sell and license other manufacturers in the production of lawnmowers. (The agreement is housed in the Stroud Museum). One of the first Budding and Ferrabee machines was used in Regent's Park Zoological Gardens in London, in 1831.

I felt all independent, glad I wouldn't have to ask anybody to take me anywhere...But then I bought a HUGE, old school car: A 1969 (year I was born) Chevy Biscayne. It was kind of a light Pea Grean and seated quite a few (AND all their junk fit in its huge trunk) on rides back home from K-State.
