I love Alessandria - it's so regal and flowing ... softer than Alexandria, but the latter name is every bit as regal and flowing.

Alexsandria does two things to the name: 1) it harshens the softeness of Alessandria and softens the strength of Alexandria ... I hate that. You take a two names that fall at opposite ends of the gambit and pull them to the middle ... making them bland and undistinguised (on this plane, at least). 2) You segment it. One of the things that makes a name seem regal (to me) is it's flow ... it has to be graceful. Alexsandria segments it into two distinct parts - Alex and Sandria ... that completely disrupts the flow and grace of the two original names.

Also, I wouldn't double the -a endings. On some names it sounds alright, but usually it doesn't (especially with longer names). How about Alessandria/Alexandria Therese? I'm even more weary of Alanna ... the only thing worse than the first and middle name ending in the same sound is if they begin in the same sound.

Some Unique Boy Names:
Valerian
Orrin
Ronan
Ulrich
Aude
Dimitri

I like Alanna better, but if you do pick Alexsandria, you should take out the "s"- it is completely unnecessary because the x makes that sound already. Plus she's go by Alex for sure so if you want that nickname just be aware.

Like Alexandria Theresa fine.

I'm not crazy about Theresa. I like Alexandria a lot (spelled correctly, that is). Together, too many syllables.

Alanna... I like that too.

If I had to pick, I'd go with Alexandria.

I like Tristan for a boy. It's different, but with an old-fashioned, rugged feel, I think.

Why not spell it correctly? I do like the combination of Alexandria Theresa although a little long. Alanna is also nice and not wildly popular.

I like the name Alexsandria, but I wouldn't spell it like that. I would spell it Alexandria without an S.....

for unique boy's names... this can go either way.... I REALLY like the name Ryder. and Micah, but that's not THAT unusual.

It's a pretty name, but a bit long. How long is your last name. A child should be able to say their name without getting tongue tied. I would spell it Alexandria tho. If you like names starting with A, how about Alistair or Adler for a boy? Other boys names I like are Holden, Kelton and Talon.

Also, I think Alanna is a beautiful name.
