Can you exhange Euros for US currency at US banks?

Not all US banks offer foreign exchange. Usually the larger ones do. You'd have to call the specific branch.

You can at some larger banks, but not all. Usually you can at big money centers in NY, Miami, Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, St Louis etc.
