Only if it is a legal adult capable of entering into a contract and no closer in sanguinity than a 4th cousin, silly as that last requirement might currently be in Gay Marriages . Which actually makes them stricter than many Republican Jurisdictions.

I don't know about the "Dems", but as an Independent; if you would like to marry Dolly the Sheep, I got no problem with that - as long as you don't try to abort the "kid" she's conceived with the Republican next-door.

I don't have a problem if you marry your houseplant as long as you assume all of the responsibility of housing, taxes, and schooling. Don't live off of welfare and you can marry whatever you like.
