Ok i started to play the guitar a few months back and im starting to wonder from the few ppl. i know why they have alot of guitars.
My qstn. is why do you need soooo many guitars??

Well I've got an acoustic 6 string. It's for picking and folk/pop
My Fender 12 String is great for rhythm guitar and it sounds a lot fuller
I have an electric for solo's or music that has more punch like rock.
I understand your question, I know people that have like 12 Fender Strats. It doesn't make much sense. Having different guitars for achieving different sounds does however.
