i trained all week for a job for a hotdog stand/ expresso stand.
on monday i worked 3 hours
tuesday 2 hours
wednesday 2 hours
thursday 2 hours
friday 3 hours


should i be paid for being in training? since they are mostly just watching me do things, while i am learning/taking over?

also if age is important? i will be turning 17 next month

Yes, you should be paid for the hours you are working. Age doesn't matter, and the fact that it's training doesn't either - you have to start someplace, and training is part of doing the job.

Usually there is an agreement about paid training or not before you begin work. But in my experience I have always been paid for training as that shows the employer is interested in investing in their employees. If I was you I would bring it up to your supervisor or boss.

It depends on the type of job it is. Most large corps. won't let you because of the safety factor. They would be responsible for you.Under other circumstances, yes you should be paid.

you should be paid for your training
age doesnt matter
they are paying you for your time and they have to do that its the law
