Don't "delete" anything. Uninstall them from "Add/Remove Programs" in the Control Panel.

Don't remove any anti-virus software that you use. Everything else that your computer needs cannot be accidentally removed from that menu. Just be sure not to remove Java if you have Limewire.

If you are still not sure, post a list of the software that you have, and I'll point out if there is something that you should not remove.

since we dont know about what all you do have would be hard to say but any games that you dont play all the time would be good if you have the disk then you can always reload it... control panel add and remove your list of program there you can delete any or most of them if you want if you know you added it and you dont use it then start with them...depending on how old your computor is sometimes it list when it was used that might help you... just get rid of the ones you added would be smarter theres a program think its call belsar advicer it can tell you everthing that you have on there....looking at mine now is not many programs that i have that i couldnt do without .. if you have your disk to any of them you could just reload them and start over

Don't delete or uninstall things if you don't know what they are. Get someone who is knowledgeable about computers to come over and help you clean it up.

Also look into great free programs like Avast, spybot Seach and Destroy:, CCleaner, Ad-aware. These things help heaps in removing viruses and spyware and useless garbage. You can find them all via a simple google search.

Check who has written the software, if it is from Microsoft, don't delete it.
