Well, if you've already decided that you aren't going to do any plays to get experience (aka work for it), then you can Forget about getting ANYWHERE. I don't know how many times I have to say it- you can not just go to some site, go to an audition, and get famous the next day or month, especially if you have zero experience.
Also,
1. You don't have to live in LA or NY to become famous. If someone tells you that, they are stupid and are lying to you.
2. It is impossible to not be able to "afford an agent". You would have to be pretty freaking poor to not be able to afford something that's free. Agents only make money when they get YOU work. So, say they told you about a job and you make $1,000 at it, they keep $100, and that's the only time you have to pay them.
3. You don't need acting lessons. If you get involved in theater, which is free too, you will get experience: the best teacher out there. You could contact your local community theater and audition for the plays they put on.
Having no money is not an excuse. I've been acting for near 7 years, and never paid a dime until 5 years into it when I had a full resume and needed headshots. Heck, I even made $60 once for doing a play. If you are willing to pay time for the experience, you can get anywhere you want. But if you only want to sit back and wait for it to come to you, forget about it.

Even though you don't want to be on Broadway or do any plays in high school, you should at least do SOMETHING to give you experience. Although you might have talent, casting directors won't like it if you don't know what you're doing. You should probably start by signing up to be an extra in a movie or commercial (beinamovie.com is pretty good), and then wait for open casting calls in New York (which are pretty rare) to audition for a role in a movie. You don't need an agent at an open casting call. However, if you're not willing to travel to L.A. I doubt that your career will go anywhere, since a majority of the films are shot there and that's where most stars find their big break.

Before you start doing anything, though, just make sure that you really CAN act. Like the other person said, you can't just act if you want to. You have to be good. REALLY good.

Listen closely!
You are the Actor, the actor NEVER tells the agent what he will or will not do. The agent is the professional, not the actor.

If you do that your acting career will be shorter than a 30 second TV commercial!
Find another career.
