I'm not actually complaining, but I wanted to know what possible reasons there could be. I still get the hormonal changes every month, but menstruate only once per two months. It's regular, just... not as frequent.

I eat right, I excercise, and I'm otherwise healthy.

You may have only one working ovary. Maybe this could explain the every-other-month thing? This happened to a friend of mine who is in her mid-forties.

Every woman is different. Ovulation and your period are controlled by changes in hormones in your body (progesterone and estrogen , I think). Although they say that woman have a 28 day cycle it can change. If I were you I would chart my cycle and see if it's super regular or if it does fluctuate a little. Ask a doctor though, but don't fret. Hope nothing wrong and maybe you just got lucky.

Maybe you exercise too much and you eat to healthy, not a bad thing i am saying but do you eat meat or are you a vegatarian? This also may have something to do with it, but see your doctor and maybe go on birth conrol to regulate your period, it is not normal to continue having a period like yours.

I wouldn't really know...but it is your own body...if it gets bad and comes too much or longer than every other month, you need to ask your doctor...If it comes REALLY heavy when it does come...then it MAY be bad...I am not an expart...but try a doctor if it becomes too concerning
