Maytag or Kenmore. I would purchase it after I moved though as it is a lot more expensive to move such things.

I got a washer/dryer pair a couple months ago. It was GE and it has a front load washer (saves lots of water) and matching gas dryer for about $1000. They had a special going where they delivered it for free with same-as-cash financing. And, it's the cheapest front-loader I could find anywhere.

It's awesome. You can't even hear the washer, except for when it's filling with water and on the spin cycle. It's got a little tray on top that you pull out to put the soap, bleach, and fabric softener in.

And, they're pretty small (about 28 inches deep), which we needed because we have just a laundry closet in our house. So, they fit anywhere. But, they're big enough to do full loads.

I don't remember the model numbers. But, I know it's something that Home Depot regularly stocks.

Well, they've outsourced the Maytag repair man to fix everything else because he doesn't need to repair the Maytag washers and dryers. At our laundry room we have Maytag dryers and never have to have them fixed. But the Sears washers are not so lucky. They have to come up every couple of weeks to fix one or the other.

Maytag has always made the longest lasting washer/dryer. They have the best reputation over all the other manufacturers.

If indeed that is oil on the floor and leaking water, It being a 12 year old machine don't waste your money on a repair. Buy a new one..

I would go to the Sears website and scroll through their products. They have lots of info and reviews and you can find just the right one for you. They have great service and free delivery also. They don't only have Kenmore, they have lots of other brands too.
