Everyone I know had May babies and there are like 8 people in my family who's birthdays are in may! It makes me crazy. We are ttc, but I do not want to try if it means we might have a May baby....am I being ridiculous?

I don't think you are being ridiculous. It is perfectly fine for you to want to have a baby at a different time in the year. Be warned though, that you could have the baby early so really you should try for a month that is no where near May. I have a friend who wanted her daughter to share her husband's birth month and she had her a month early. So have fun making that baby, and good luck on having the baby in a month that you desire! :)

Yes it is ridiculous you should be grateful your baby is coming at all whether its may or not i understand that your family have birthdays in may my family has the same in september but because im TRYING to have a baby i dont care when everyone else is in the sam month i'd care my baby made it safe on your mums b'day or not babies come when they want to.

I suppose it depends on how badly you want a baby. I wouldn't care. Nearly all my relatives have birthdays in May, December and February.
My neighbor's DIL really wanted a Halloween baby and amazingly, got one! He's 7 now.

I kind of see your point, but go for it. YOu never know if or when you might conceive. Seriously. Man plans, god laughs. If it happens, deal.
My May baby (born the same week as her cousin and her grandmother) is my little Gemini angel. She's four and never gives us a momen't trouble-plus, we just have one big family party in May.

I say be grateful for anything you get as long as it comes in the form of a beautiful amazing life you created. That is a small detail compared to welcoming a child into the world.

I'm a may baby and im my mothers best girl as she says. You never know watch those zodiac signs b/c theyre true but i say may is the best month. not too hot not too cold as well.

yea you are, you shouldn't care when its born as long as its born...if you want to avoid the month you can but theres always the chance that they may be born in may either way[premature]...anyway goodluck....hope you get what you want
