I am considering going into Criminal Justice after I complete a 2-Year Associate(s) Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

I haven't started school yet, so I need your help to decide a good career major.

Basically, I'm looking for type of career in Criminal Justice such as a Warden, FBI, or US Marshall, ect.

I'm in good physical condition. But I'm looking for something that pays around $60,000 - $100,000 a year.

If anyone can name me any jobs in Criminal Justice that is likely to pay that much, PLEASE post me something.

Thank you for your replies.

The only criminal justice jobs that pay $60,000 - $100,000 are SOME federal jobs. Of course, there are exceptions, some sheriff's make 6 figures, but you have to go through the whole election process and your job is never guaranteed. Sheriff's are elected to 4 year terms, like the President of the US. My experience with the criminal justice system is that no one will hire you in making top pay. The first trick is to get hired, then you want to do your job 110%, but not being a suck up. I was hired as a jailer off the street, established good work relationships, covered shifts, sometimes worked double shifts, and within two years, I was promoted, and got a $15,000 raise. Consistency is key. Honesty, not being a whiner, and competence are just some of the main qualifications of a criminal justice job. Money isn't everything. You do CJ work because you love it. You do CJ work because of the satisfaction it brings you. You do not do CJ work to get rich.

There are many different law enforcement officer jobs that you could try to get if you have a criminal justice degree. Some job titles you could consider include animal cruelty investigator, constable, correctional officer, criminal investigator, deputy sheriff, game warden, humane law enforcement officer, marshal, park ranger, police officer, probation officer, and wildlife conservation officer. Consider local, state, and federal jobs.
