Alrighty then. So here's an "ethical" question...

What's with all these vegan/vegetarian hippie types ranting on and on about "meat is murder" and harassing the living crap out of people who eat meat, while a lot of the people who claim this are pro-choice? Does anyone get where I'm going with this in regards to a mix up of priorities here?

I'm not saying ALL vegetarians are like this, but in my experience I've known many, and they're all extremely liberal and most are pro-choice...

So "meat is murder," but killing an unborn human being isn't? I just find that really interesting...

This is no less a contradiction than conservatives who are "pro-life," but believe in the death penalty. Why? The majority of people who are pro-choice DON'T LIKE ABORTION. We think that it's a horrible decision for anyone to make. However? We STILL think the mother must be the person who makes that choice, and not the government.

To say "meat is murder" is to express one's opinion--extreme, but an opinion nevertheless. It is NOT legislating that opinion... whether or not the people making those statements *think* their opinion should be legislated.

Fortunately the point is moot, because most of them are Lesbian.

Seriously, you're lumping an AWFUL lot of people with extremely varied viewpoints into a single group.

You obviously haven't known many of either group, or perhaps you just don't know them very well.

Besides, they don't really consider a fetus as a life until it's born. If they were eating cow fetus while preaching veganism, then you might have a point.

PETA - People Eat Tastey Animals

But really, you are comparing apples and oranges with your narrow viewpoint. Why can't you just make the decisions suitable for YOUR life and leave everyone else to theirs. Your God will sort it out in the end.

Your first mistake is thinking that liberals care about ethics. If you expect them to be logical, that's mistake #2.

I don't even take anti-meat people seriously, but that is certainly a logical conflict.
