Sorry, the answer is not Maine. The Alaskan islands of Attu and Kiska are across the International Date Line and are the furthest east portion of the US. Thus, Alaska takes the prize.

I believe that would be the great state of Maine during the summer months. North Carolina in the winter.

Maine, it's the furthest east. I don't think Hawaii crosses the date line on the map.
