It is definitely Hinduism. Whilst Judaism has a "recorded" beginning, nobody knows when Hinduism began, it is so old.

Well actually you are right... sort of. Judaism and Hinduism are both the oldest religions that are still around. They are the oldest because no one really knows when they started (historically speaking). So there is not one single religion which is the oldest. It's a tie between Judaism and Hinduism

Most history reports say that Hinduism is much more older than Judaism. Historical documents and carvings on the old temples in India have had anthropologist and most historians believe that the oldest practiced religion is Hinduism not Judaism. You can actually get a book called "The Encyclopedia of World Religions" and it will tell you the same thing.

Hello ZOHAIBB RIZVI
Hinduism predates Judaism. It was said that Hinduism was created a lot by the indo-european aryans. Judaism on the other hand was created by the Hebrews.

Judaism is merely the oldest abrahamic religion. What is your religion, ZOHAIBB RIZVI?

I believe that the city of Ur is the oldest known city in the world. If we haven't destroyed it it's somewhere in Iraq.
I believe Ur was part of ancient Sumeria. Thus, the Sumerian religion would be the oldest in the world that we know about. The oldest artifact "the venus statue/rock" is the oldest religious artifact known and seems to suggest that the female form and fertility worship were the oldest practices.

There is no way to know for sure when a religion started but I believe the oldest Judaism writings are the dead sea scroll (check this) and I believe that Hindu writings predate the scrolls. So, all you can really know is who has the oldest written record.

Good luck with your search,
Michael John Weaver, M.S.

I think paganism is the oldest religion in the world; the oldest organized religion was hinduism.

Neither. Paganism and Wicca are the oldest religions, and the most reasonable ones as well.
